In recognition of World Oceans Day, the ECO-Warrior Foundation, Aloha School of Surfing, and the Higher Ground Sun Valley Foundation will be teaming up to treat 18 disabled veterans to a day of surfing. The Point restaurant (located in Dana Point) will be serving a delicious lunch for our veterans following the surfing action!
Please come out and support keeping our beautiful beaches clean this coming Earth Day Weekend and show some love to our Mother Earth.
Your time, love, and energy is desperately needed. After all what good is the beach if we can't enjoy the ocean?!
Please join ECO-Warrior Foundation along with OC Parks, REI, Laguna Niguel YMCA, and Laguna Canyon Foundation for a day of giving back to your community and environment.
The Upstream Initiative is a joint venture to help protect our local waterways from the trash and debris deposited in it on a daily basis. We will be focusing on trash clean-up along Sulfur Creek, Narco Channel, Aliso Creek, and Laguna Niguel Lake.
Meet at Shelter 3 at 7:45am. Short term volunteer waivers will be required for first time volunteers. Volunteers under 16 years old require adult supervision. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Recommended: As we are cleaning up waterways, bring clothes you're willing to get wet!
It’s that time of year again and residents and businesses alike are coming together in Laguna Beach for it’s Annual Coastal Cleanup Day, a statewide campaign in partnership with the California Coastal Commission and the Adopt-A-Beach program to Make Trash Extinct. This is the most important cleanup since the end of summer is usually when you find the most trash left behind. It is also the state of California’s largest beach cleanup of the year and, in Laguna Beach will run from Aliso Creek Beach all the way to Main Beach.
“It is our mission to not only preserve our oceans, but to support local businesses and communities, engaging them to get involved to make our beaches a better place to live, swim, play and surf. After all, what good is the beach if we can't enjoy the ocean?"” says James Pribram, Executive Director of The ECO-Warrior Foundation.
Everyone is invited to come down to one of our cleanup stations in Laguna Beach where gloves and cleanup bags will be provided. Those who are able are encouraged to bring a reusable bucket in lieu of a plastic bag. Once you pick up your supplies and sign a Coastal Cleanup waiver, you’ll be ready to make a difference.

WHAT IS COASTAL CLEANUP DAY?
Every year, on the third Saturday in September, people join together at sites all over California to take part in the State's largest volunteer event, California Coastal Cleanup Day. In 2014, nearly 67,000 volunteers removed more than 1,190,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from California's beaches, lakes, and waterways. Families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, service clubs, and individuals come together to celebrate and share their appreciation of California's fabulous coast and waterways. The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy, which is the largest volunteer event on the planet!
Second Annual Cox Communications, The Auto Trader and Kelly BlueBook Doheny State Park Beach Clean Up.
Last year we picked up 641 pounds for recyclables and trash in just two hours.
ECO-Warrior Foundation is an official partner with the California Coastal Commission for the “Adopt-A-Beach” program in Laguna Beach. ECO-Warrior hosts at least 4 beach clean ups per year. Come on down and volunteer your support to help our community keep our beautiful beaches clean and debris-free. Stay tuned for a list of the official Clean Up stations throughout Laguna Beach, where you will sign in and pick up your “Adopt-A-Beach” clean up tools. Hope to see you at the beach!
