Another successful Coastal Clean Up Day! 

The ECO-Warrior Foundation hosted California Coastal Clean Up Day; on September 16, 2017 at Aliso Beach Park in South Laguna.

Seeing a whooping 141 volunteers picking up 346 pounds of trash.

Volunteers came from as far away as Anahiem, Whittier, Topanga, Cota De Coza, Orange, Lake Forest, Orange, Laguna Niguel, Ladera Ranch, San Clemente, Dana Point with 23 volunteers coming from Laguna Beach. Items found included woman undergarments, tampoons, codoms, socks, tweezers, sleeping bags and an overwhelming amount of cigarette butts and single use plastics.

Volunteers afterwards were treated to delicious tacos provided by partner Chronic Tacos with giveaway prizes being donated by RVCA Sport and Laguna Surf and Sport.

So Far in 2017 alone the ECO-Warrior foundation has removed nearly 2,400 pounds of trash from our beaches, oceans and waterways.

The highlight of Coastal Clean Up Day came when Laguna Beach Mayor Toni Iseman attended the beach clean up in support of Coastal Clean Up Day and litter free beaches.
